

Todd E. Soloway, the Chair of Pryor Cashman's Real Estate Litigation Group, has served as an advisor and litigation counsel to a variety of real estate developers, owners, and large corporations, including The Paramount Group, Marriott Hotels, RCN Corp., Solow Building Company, Capital Properties, Liz Claiborne, Silken Hotels and Thompson Hotels. He has also represented several Spanish real estate companies, including Espais Promocions Immobiliaries, S.L. Grupo Urvasco, S.A. and Ponte Gadea, S.A., in connection with complex real estate transactions.
Mr. Soloway brings a broad range of real estate experience to the firm. While concentrating on complex real estate related litigation, Mr. Soloway has developed expertise in real estate development, commercial lease litigation, partnership issues, environmental law, cooperative and condominium law, complex landlord-tenant disputes, construction law, matters involving the New York City Department of Buildings, rent regulation, regulatory takings and title insurance issues.
Mr. Soloway has extensive trial experience and has been a trial attorney on a number of matters throughout the state and federal court systems. He also has broad experience in complex arbitrations and mediations.
In addition to his skills as a litigator, Mr. Soloway has developed a large real estate practice involving sales, financing, leasing, construction, cooperative and condominium plans, and real estate development. He also has specialized experience in drafting and negotiating multi-million dollar construction contracts, architect's contracts and design contracts, as well as commercial leases, and has extensive experience representing developers in assembling development sites.
Mr. Soloway leads the firm's pro bono housing program, working in conjunction with the Legal Aid Society of New York. Pryor Cashman attorneys, working under his supervision, represent indigent tenants in Housing Court proceedings and before various administative agencies.
