212-798-6326Eric M. Fishman is a member of Pryor Cashman’s Litigation Group. His practice focuses on a full range of litigation, including securities, copyright, real estate and bankruptcy litigation. Eric has represented several leading financial institutions, including defending investment management companies and hedge funds in connection with complex litigations. Eric’s experience includes:
- Defending many of the nation’s largest and best known mutual fund investment advisers in securities actions, including the successful defense of Capital Research in one of the largest securities actions ever to go to trial
- Representing the court-appointed Refco Trustee in litigation against a large private equity company for fraudulent transfer and breach of fiduciary duty claims in excess of a billion dollars
- Representing one of the largest remanufactured laser print cartridge companies in an action against Hewlett-Packard alleging fraud, trade secret misappropriation and false advertising
- Defending a famous recording artist, global media company, and major record label in a copyright infringement action involving one of the most popular songs of the past decade
- Representing a Hong-Kong distributor in a fraud and breach of contract action against a leading company in the semi-conductor industry
- Defending a hedge fund in a breach of contract action against a former employee and competitor
- Representing individuals in actions brought by the Bernard Madoff Trustee
- Defending the developer of a condominium in a breach of contract action brought by a contractor
Eric received his J.D. with honors from the George Washington University Law School in 2005, where he served as a member of the George Washington International Law Review and the Moot Court Board. He graduated in 2002 with a B.A. cum laude in Political Science from Bucknell University, where he was also captain of the baseball team.
