
Ronald B. Kremnitzer joined Pryor Cashman as a partner in May 1987 and is Co-Chair of the Real Estate Group. Ron’s real estate practice includes property acquisitions and sales (commercial office buildings, hotels, residential multi-family, shopping centers, vacant land); development (land use and construction financing); financings (conventional mortgage loans, equity participation and other secured and unsecured lending); workouts and debt restructuring; cooperative/condominiums (conversion, new construction and bulk disposition of unsold units); and leasing.
Ron is experienced in commercial leasing matters having represented, among other clients, a well-known New York City drugstore chain and a prominent gourmet deli in multiple leasing transactions. Ron also is very active in representing purchasers of multi-family properties and represents a group which acquired over 800 New York City properties, including 100 Manhattan multi-family properties, in a single day.
A Real Estate Weekly profile of Ron noted that he is "one of the city's most dynamic deal-making attorneys." He is frequently called upon by the press to comment upon real estate matters. He has authored several articles for The New York Law Journal and other publications on real estate topics including allocating shares in cooperatives under the Internal Revenue Code, taxation on interest on real estate and other escrow accounts, and the “possession as notice” doctrine. Ron has also been a speaker at seminars and bar association programs involving condominiums, cooperatives, residential real estate and various cutting edge real estate issues.
