Colleen E. Parker

Colleen Parker, an associate in the Litigation Group, joined Pryor Cashman in 2003 after working at the firm as a summer associate in 2002. She has experience in a variety of litigation matters, including commercial, intellectual property and entertainment litigation. Her experience includes:

• Assisted in the representation of two major film studios in a copyright infringement action alleging that a recent summer blockbuster infringed the copyright in a cult film made years earlier
• Participated in arbitration before the American Arbitration Association representing owner of a luxury retail store in a dispute with the architect over the quality of construction
• Aided in the successful representation of an internationally known hip hop artist in litigation brought by a promoter who claimed that a booking agent, without the artist’s knowledge or consent, had the actual or apparent authority to bind that artist to appear and perform at a concert
• Provides research and analysis to assist in counseling entertainment clients on how to avoid various litigations and other potential problems in connection with copyright and trademark issues
