Pryor Cashman associate Suyin So, working with the firm’s Labor and Employment Group, has prepared a Legal Update entitled “Revised Employment Eligibility Verification (Form I-9) Mandatory For Use By All Employers As Of December 26, 2007.”

The Legal Update concisely describes the new requirements, which became effective on December 26, 2007, for every employer to maintain new I-9 forms for every NEW employee. Every employer is affected by this change in the I-9 form. Employers are required to complete I-9 forms to establish that each employee has provided evidence of his or her citizenship or immigration status.
