Pryor Cashman partner Stephen Goodman chaired a conference on corporate governance organized by the American Bar Association's Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section at Le Parker Meridien Hotel on May 11-13, 2006. Called "Beyond Legal : A Business Approach to Corporate Governance," the conference explored the relationships among responsible corporate behavior, corporate profitability and litigation risk and included discussions about  various approaches to structuring internal processes, such as compensation decisions and internal controls, and how this may affect the relationship. The conference also identified and analyzed the factors that encourage good corporate behavior.
