Real Estate New YorkPryor Cashman Counsel Andrea Gendel has been named by Real Estate New York as one of its “2009 Women of Influence.”
In its September /October 2009 issue, Real Estate New York announced its third annual selection of women who are “at the top of their game in a challenging market.” The article, entitled “Making Strides, Gaining Momentum,” spotlights the accomplishments of key women in real estate.
The article notes that Gendel represents owners, developers and tenants in New York and nationally. In the past 12 months, she has represented Morgan Stanley, Titan Outdoor, SavillsGranite, Rose Associates, the Legal Aid Society and Thor Equities in more than one million square feet of commercial and retail leasing deals.
Gendel told Real Estate New York: “The depressed local economy has produced an abundance of office space given up by banks and companies that have either merged or filed for bankruptcy. We are seeing more landlords cutting up space and making it smaller and more appealing to those entrepreneurs who have broken away from larger businesses to launch their own start-up.”
