January 8, 2010
Press Release

Pryor Cashman LLP continues to enhance its Tax and Trusts and Estates practice groups with the addition of Tracy Green Landauer as partner in the firm’s New York office, effective January 8, 2010.  Prior to joining the firm, Landauer was Of Counsel at Greenberg Traurig, LLP.

Landauer focuses her practice on providing ongoing special issue representation to tax-exempt organizations including arts, community, research, charitable, literary and trade organizations. She advises clients on issues of governance, unrelated business income, self-dealing, private inurement, excess benefits, foreign and domestic grant-making, complex structures, fundraising and lobbying. In addition, she provides personal estate, tax, charitable gift and retirement planning to a broad range of individuals, tailoring plans to the needs and goals of each client.

“Tracy complements our strong contingent in the area of wealth management and preservation, and adds expertise in the representation of non-profit organizations,” commented Ronald Shechtman, Managing Partner at Pryor Cashman. “Her addition to the firm is part of our commitment to grow with new and exceptional talent who add depth for our existing clients and bring Pryor Cashman to their existing clients.”

Landauer is a graduate of Emory University, where she received her B.A., magna cum laude, in 1979.  She later went on to earn her M.A. at the University of Chicago in 1980 and her J.D. at the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1985.  Landauer is a member of the American Bar Association’s Sections on Taxation, Business Law and Trust and Estates Law, the New York State Bar Association’s Trusts and Estates Law Section, and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.

“I was first attracted to Pryor Cashman by its reputation in the marketplace  – a growing mid-sized law firm with the legal expertise and depth and breadth of services that are normally only offered at large firms,” commented Landauer.  “I am thrilled to be a member of the firm and look forward to working with the strong client base that is already in place at Pryor Cashman while contributing to the continued growth of the firm down the line.”
