Partner Judith Poller To Speak At NYCAP Presentation On Families with Special Needs Children in Collaborative Divorce

Pryor Cashman Partner Judith L. Poller, Co-Chair of the firm’s Family Law Group, will be speaking on April 28, 2010 at the New York Association of Collaborative Professionals’ (NYACP) presentation on Families with Special Needs Children in Collaborative Divorce – A Panel Discussion with Legal, Financial and Psychological Experts. The event will take place at The Williams Club, 24 East 39th Street, commencing at 6 p.m.

The NYACP program will address the unique needs of families with children who have special needs. Topics to be addressed include:

  • How do you define a “special needs” child
  • Essential factors to consider in a divorce settlement 
  • Necessary estate and financial planning
  • Psychological impact of a special needs child on divorce negotiations and post divorce issues
  • How special needs children may affect relationships with siblings, and the divorce process

Poller will be joined on the panel by Michelle Smith, who is a Certified Financial Planner, Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, and divorce mediator, and Dr. Peggy Herzog, a Clinical Psychologist, Collaborative Mental Health Specialist and Child Specialist.
