Pryor Cashman Expands in Current 7 Times Square Space
The New York Law Journal, The Real DealPryor Cashman LLP is pleased to announce that it has added an additional 6,038 square feet to its recently-leased space in Times Square Tower in the heart of New York City. This expansion follows the firm’s plan for targeted growth in the competitive New York market.
The building, owned by Boston Properties (through its affiliates), is located at 7 Times Square on the south side of 42nd Street between Broadway and 7th Avenue. Pryor Cashman, which has more than 125 attorneys, and a staff of over 90, signed a 15-year lease for 100,000 square feet in 2008.
“Since its founding in 1963, Pryor Cashman has grown steadily in every decade due to its lean, cost-sensitive structure,” notes Ronald H. Shechtman, the firm’s Managing Partner. “This core philosophy keeps the firm agile in responding to market shifts so that even in this soft economy, Pryor Cashman is perfectly positioned to align our services with exactly what our clients need and want.”
In the last year, the firm has expanded its Family Law practice, added a Business Immigration practice and grew a practice with China-based companies. It also expanded its Charities and Tax-Exempt Organizations practice, complementing the firm’s larger litigation and corporate practices.
Most recently, the firm hired Edward J. Rayner as a partner and chair of the Executive Compensation, ERISA and Employee Benefits Group. The additional footage, which is already furnished, will accommodate near term additional growth.
Bradley Kaufman, a member of Pryor Cashman's Real Estate Group, represented the firm in the transaction.
Pryor Cashman's expansion was reported in the November 10, 2010 edition of The New York Law Journal, as well as in the December 1, 2010 issue of The Real Deal. To read the article in the NYLJ's "Marketplace" section, please click here. To read the article in The Real Deal, please click here.
