The Federal Trade Commission has proposed new amendments to the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Rule. If adopted, the universe of website operators that must take precautions to ensure ongoing compliance with the rule may expand considerably, and the obligations imposed on those website operators could substantially change.

Pryor Cashman partners Jeffrey Johnson and Robert deBrauwere, together with associate Jill Braibanti, have taken a closer look at the proposed new rule and how these changes might affect website operators.
