Partner Jennifer D. Silverman To Participate As Panelist At NYSBA Presentation Of "Basics of Intellectual Property Law."

Pryor Cashman Intellectual Property Partner Jennifer D. Silverman will be a panelist at the May 8, 2008 New York State Bar Association presentation of "Basics of Intellectual Property Law." Silverman will be appearing at the Hyatt Regency in Hauppauge, NY.

The program, which is co-sponsored by the Intellectual Property Law Section and the Committee on Continuing Legal Education of the New York State Bar Association, is designed to help law students or recently admitted attorneys establish a foundation in knowledge and skills pertaining to primary areas of intellectual property law. The course should also serve as an excellent overview for more experienced attorneys who may encounter an occasional intellectual property law issue in their practices or who may wish to expand their practices into a new area or refresh their basic knowledge.

This program provides a comprehensive overview of Patent Law, Trademark Law, Copyright Law, Trade Secrets and Licensing, along with topics and guidance on predicting and handling IP litigation. Distinguished panelists will address the fundamentals of these different legal disciplines, recent challenges and notable trends on the horizon.
