Pryor Cashman Entertainment Partner Howard Siegel will Co-Chair the Practising Law Institute’s Advanced Seminar on Counseling Clients in the Entertainment Industry 2009. The seminar runs from March 16-18, 2009 at the PLI New York Center and will also be on live webcast.

In addition to his Co-Chair duties, Siegel will be an introductory speaker on all three days of the seminar and will speak on the afternoon of March 17th about Music Publishing. The topics to be discussed include:

• Types of music publishing agreements
• Sources of income
• Negotiation of a songwriter-music publishing agreement
• The role of performing rights societies and licensing agencies
• The roles of personal managers, business managers and agents in the life of an artist
• Deal points in typical personal management contracts
• Deal points in talent agency contracts
