EcoPetrol, Colombia’s state oil company, had its first international bond offering on July 23, 2009 when it issued bonds worth $1.5 billion. The bonds will mature in 10 years at an interest rate of 7.625 per cent. Pryor Cashman client Bank of New York Mellon was the offering’s Indenture Trustee.
