Partner Colleen Caden Elected to Brooklyn Law School’s Alumni Association Board of Directors
Pryor Cashman is pleased to announce that Partner Colleen L. Caden, chair of the firm’s Immigration group, has been elected to a two-year term of the Brooklyn Law School’s Alumni Association Board of Directors. The board is dedicated to serving alumni by providing social, educational and professional opportunities.
Caden joined Pryor Cashman in 2009 as a partner and launched the Immigration practice. Since that time, the group has more than tripled in size, increased the volume of matters handled, and expanded its client roster.
In particular, Caden focuses her practice on business immigration law representing a diverse client base in the consumer products, consulting, media, and pharmaceutical industries, among others. She works with clients on all aspects of their U.S. immigration programs from strategic advice and planning to compliance programs. Her work includes the development and implementation of immigration programs and policies; strategic planning of long-term and short-term immigration needs; and immigration issues related to changing corporate structure. She also works with clients to prepare temporary visa petitions and applications for permanent residence.
Also noteworthy, Caden is one of the few business immigration lawyers to develop a robust and dynamic professional sports practice, for which she is nationally recognized. She offers highly specialized immigration counsel to foreign athletes and successfully represents teams and athletes within the National Hockey League (NHL), National Basketball Association (NBA), Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA), ECHL, as well as the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL).
Since 2012, Caden has been recognized by Human Resources Executive and Lawdragon as one of the “Nation’s Most Powerful Employment Attorneys”; as one of the “Top 50 Female Lawyers” by Super Lawyers – New York Metro and among the leading attorneys in Immigration Law by Best Lawyers in America. In addition to her recent appointment, Caden also serves on the Board of Directors of the Junior League of the City of New York.
