The Knowledge Group/The Knowledge Congress Live Webcast Series, the leading producer of regulatory-focused webcasts, has announced today that Pinchus D. Raice will speak at the Knowledge Congress' webcast: "Bank Mergers: Significant Issues for 2013 and Beyond."

As the U.S. economy continues on the road to recovery, a combination of factors - high corporate cash balances, low interest rates, slow loan growth, unutilized capital commitments, and pending rules under the Dodd-Frank Act - point to an uptick in M&A activity. While this presents an opportunity for lenders, private equity investors, buyers and sellers, they also need to know how the economic environment will affect dealmaking in 2013.

In The Knowledge Group's "Bank Mergers: Significant Issues for 2013 and Beyond," an expert panel, including Raice, will discuss the step-by-step processes of M&A transactions, explain the common regulatory hurdles associated with these complex undertakings, and offer strategic insights for getting the deal done.

As Chairman of the Financial Institutions Group at Pryor Cashman LLP, Raice represents financial institutions and individuals in negotiating and completing mergers and acquisitions in the community banking industry, and represents banks and their officers and directors before all federal and state bank regulatory agencies. In the course of his career, he has served as counsel and in-house counsel to NY and NJ commercial and savings banks, and as a federal bank regulator with the FDIC's New York office. Pinchus has extensive experience representing financial institutions in formal and informal regulatory enforcement actions, and representing boards of directors in administrative enforcement matters and court proceedings.
