The New York Junior League inaugurated its “NYJL Reads” program at the NYJL Headquarters for Training and Leadership on March 18 and 24, 2010.

The first program was the two-part series “Managing Your Financial Life – SHOO, Jimmy Choo! – The Modern Girl’s Guide to Spending Less & Saving More by Catey Hill.

On March 18, 2010 at 7 p.m., the author Catey Hill discussed her book, SHOO, Jimmy Choo!, a practical guide to personal finance for women. Ms. Hill helps women evaluate their spending, cut debt, and create savings/retirement plans that allow for an occasional splurge. Topics covered were student loans, investing and saving for a home.

The second part of the series took place on March 24, 2010 and featured Pryor Cashman Partner Donald Schuck, Co-Chair of the firm’s Family Law Group. Schuck, along with Anne Izzillo, Financial Advisor & Financial Planning Specialist, Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, discussed putting Ms. Hill's suggestions to work by teaching participants to manage their financial lives.
