On November 21, 2016, David Spacht will moderate a panel entitled “Estate Planning for Snowbirds” at the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education’s "Fall CLE Fest."

This CLE-eligible seminar will address the various estate issues which can arise when clients establish dual residency in New Jersey and Florida. Specifically, Spacht and his co-panelist will discuss:

  • The keys to establishing domicile and residency requirements for tax purposes;
  • Estate Planning with multijurisdictional real estate;
  • Navigating Florida’s complex homestead rules;
  • The laws affecting spousal rights;
  • Long-term care considerations;
  • How to ensure that crucial documents such as Power of Attorney, Health Care Proxy and Advance Directives are compliant with state law; and
  • Creditor rights and remedies.
