Partner Jeffrey C. Johnson, a member of Pryor Cashman’s Intellectual Property Group, has been named by Intellectual Asset Management as one of the “World’s Leading Patent & Technology Licensing Lawyers” in its IAM Listing for 2012.

The guide has been compiled following an extensive research process. Over five months, IAM conducted almost 1,000 telephone interviews with numerous attorneys at law, patent attorneys and in-house counsel to gather market intelligence on the leading players in the field. Individuals qualify for a listing in the IAM Patent 1000 when they receive sufficient positive feedback from peers and clients with knowledge of their practice and the market within which they operate. Only those individuals identified by market sources for their exceptional skill sets and profound insights into patent litigation feature in the IAM Patent 1000.

As noted by IAM: "Pryor Cashman's Jeffrey Johnson is well versed in all aspects of the commercial exploitation of intellectual property and technology. A significant area of recent work is the representation of private equity funds in connection with the acquisition and disposal of patent portfolios. 'He is much attuned to getting the job done in a costeffective and pragmatic fashion, and has a great business sense to go with his technical expertise.'”

Johnson is experienced in the transactional aspects of technology and intellectual property exploitation (patents, trade secrets, trademarks and copyright) including, in particular, all aspects of mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, private placements and licenses in the biotech, entertainment, Internet, pharmaceutical, software and telecommunications industries.
