Partner Joshua Zuckerberg was quoted in the Mashable.com article, “Silicon Valley’s latest gender discrimination lawsuit targets Facebook.”

Chia Hong, a former Facebook employee, is suing the social network for discrimination and harassment. Hong is represented by Lawless and Lawless, the same firm that is representing interim Reddit CEO Ellen Pao in her ongoing case against Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. Pao, who previously worked as a junior partner at the venture capital firm, is alleging gender discrimination and is seeking $16 million in lost compensation.

“When you see big numbers like that and it's a high-profile case, whether or not the person is actually collecting those numbers, it certainly encourages more people to come forward," said Zuckerberg. “Some employees may be motivated by the money; others may hear their own experiences reflected in these cases. It resonates with them and emboldens them to pursue and vindicate their own rights."
