Chambers USA has once again rated Pryor Cashman LLP as one of the top firms in the country in the field of Media & Entertainment, encompassing theater, film, television and music, and describing the firm as “extremely economical, effective and responsive.”

The Chambers guides list the top lawyers in 175 countries, providing independent rankings and editorial commentary. Chambers researchers speak with clients, find out which law firms they use and how they rate them for their legal ability and client service.

As stated in Chambers USA, Pryor Cashman "impresses clients with its knowledge of the record industry, borne out of its work for EMI and Sony Music."

Chambers USA also recognizes that "film and TV finance is a particular forte of the group" and that partner James Janowitz "is a port of call for such work. Having acted for both producers and lenders, he recently advised TPG-Axon in a $205 million financing of Groundswell."

Also singled out for recognition by Chambers USA was partner Howard Siegel, described as "a well-known and well-connected veteran of the market who has, among other things, "advised the finalists on American Idol on all their entertainment law issues."
