Pryor Cashman Counsel F. Robert Stein Acts as Counsel to Oscar Winning and Nominated Documentary Features

Pryor Cashman’s Robert F. Stein has continued his streak of serving as legal counsel on films receiving Oscar nominations for Best Documentary Feature. On January 16, 2014, "The Square", a documentary motion picture about the Egyptian Revolution, was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature.

Other Oscar-nominated films which Stein has acted as counsel on include:

  • "The Cove", a documentary motion picture about the mass slaughter of dolphins in Japan, which won the Oscar for Best Documentary Feature in 2010.
  • "Taxi to the Dark Side", a documentary motion picture about the use of torture by the United States at its prisons in Afghanistan, Iraq and Guantanamo Bay, which won the Oscar for Best Documentary Feature in 2008
  • "No End In Sight,".a documentary about the planning and execution of the American occupation of Iraq, was named one of the Ten Best Movies of 2007 by Richard Corliss of Time Magazine and nominated for an Oscar in 2008
  • "Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room", a study of one of the largest business scandals in American history, was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature in 2006.
