The article discusses the benefits and potential drawbacks to AT&T’s proposed $39 billion acquisition of T-Mobile. While critics believe the deal looks anti-competitive, proponents of the merger are certain the combined company will increase competition in the telecom industry.  Goodman believes the merger would increase the build-out of broadband in currently underserved areas.
