Rabinowitz Speaks to Fox News About Jolie/Pitt Divorce

Partner Steven Rabinowitz, co-chair of Pryor Cashman’s Family Law Group, was featured in a recent Fox News article concerning the legal and financial implications of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s upcoming divorce.

Explaining what could happen to the couple’s considerable assets, Rabinowitz told Fox:

“Generally speaking, in the absence of a pre-nup, assets acquired during a marriage are split 50-50. Assets acquired before the marriage typically remain each spouse's separate property unless those assets were comingled with marital assets or were converted to marital assets (such as by changing the title on the asset from separate to joint).”
