Partner Wayne Heicklen, Co-Chair of Pryor Cashman’s Real Estate Group, recently spoke with HouseLogic.com for its February 24, 2011 article, “The Contractor Bond: When a Handshake Isn’t Enough Assurance.”

The article discusses the need for a contractor bond to be in writing. Once it’s in writing, it is critical that the person for whom the work is being done carefully read the bond. As Heicklen told HouseLogic.com:  “Never assume. Read the financial details of the bond so you know what you’re going to get and under what circumstances.”
