Intellectual Property Law Section Annual Meeting
Partner Dyan Finguerra-DuCharme, a member of Pryor Cashman’s Intellectual Property and Litigation Groups, will be speaking on the panel, "The Current State of the Laches Defense in Patent, Trademark and Copyright Litigations" at the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) Intellectual Property Law Section Annual Meeting to be held at the New York Hilton Midtown on January 26, 2016, commencing at 11:20 a.m.
Recent cases have called into question the interplay between legal defenses based on statutes of limitations and equitable defenses based upon laches. This panel will discuss recent case law interpreting these issues for various intellectual property rights, and forecast likely issues in litigation as well as practice pointers.
