Desiree Goldfinger is a member of Pryor Cashman’s Immigration Group, where she practices exclusively in the field of federal immigration and nationality law with a focus on nonimmigrant visas and permanent residence.
Desiree has experience advising corporations, universities, hospitals, small businesses, and individuals on all aspects of corporate immigration law. She regularly counsels clients on nonimmigrant visa applications and petitions, including for L, H-1B, E, O, J, and TN visas; all types of U.S. employment-based immigrant visa applications and petitions, including EB-1, National Interest Waivers, and labor certifications; complex waivers; immigration compliance; and family-based petitions.
Pro Bono Work
Over the course of her career, Desiree has maintained a focus on pro bono work, providing counsel to VAWA applicants, DACA recipients, asylum applicants, refugees, and post-9/11 detainees through organizations such as the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, the American Friends Service Committee, and the New York City Bar Association. She has also represented indigent women and children at family detention centers in Dilley, Texas; Berks, Pennsylvania; and Albany, New York.
