Partner Robert J. deBrauwere, a member of Pryor Cashman’s Digital Media and Intellectual Property Groups, was a speaker at the "5th Annual Social Media Compliance in Financial Industry Conference" held in New York City on September 21, 2011.

The conference provided insight on the evolution of Social Media and the challenges associated with embracing these new tools of technology and maintaining compliance with constantly evolving regulatory oversight and requirements.

Mr. deBrauwere was the speaker for the Regulatory Update session, addressing FINRA/SEC rules, including FINRA Reg. 10.06 guidance, monitoring standards, record retention, disclosure and privacy/confidentiality issues.
