Pryor Cashman Corporate Partner Juergen Ostertag, chair of the firm’s German Practice, spoke at the second joint ABA/DAV Conference in Munich, Germany. The topic for the conference, which was held on June 19 and 20, 2011, was Transatlantic Deals & Disputes: Successfully Navigating Hazardous Waters.

On Monday, June 20th, Ostertag was one of the panelists on Transactions Track: Sins in the Family: Piercing the Corporate Veil. This interactive panel of experienced cross-border specialists discussed legal risks under Austrian, Swiss, German and US laws, posed by subsidiaries and affiliates abroad. In addition, the group explored risks and strategies for minimizing risks from an operational perspective and in the context of litigation.
