Pryor Cashman Recognized by NYC Mayor Bloomberg for Pro Bono Work
Pryor Cashman is pleased to announce that it has received a letter from New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg thanking the firm for its participation in the NYC Law Department’s Public Service Program.
In his September 17, 2010 letter to Gideon Cashman, Chairman of the firm and a founding partner, Mayor Bloomberg wrote:
“On behalf of the City of New York, I want to take this opportunity to thank you and your firm for participating in the Law Department’s Public Service Program.
Your firm’s support for the City is in keeping with the great traditions of the Bar, and has enabled the Law Department to defend the City’s fiscal health and keep pace with its burgeoning case load, despite difficult but necessary budget cuts. Especially during these challenging times, the willingness of firms like yours to provide the City, free of charge, the services of attorneys to take depositions and/or conduct trials has had tremendous benefits. I hope that we will be able to continue counting on your support in the future.
Please extend my appreciation to the partners, counsel, associates, and staff of your firm who have participated so willingly and ably in the Law Department’s program. Thank you again for your remarkable commitment and service to our City.”
