2015 CMJ Music Marathon
Partner Eli Nathanson and Senior Counsel Stephen Rodner spoke at the “Entertainment Business Law Seminar” hosted by the Entertainment Arts & Sports Law Section of The New York State Bar Association, with CMJ Music Marathon. This year’s Entertainment Business Law Seminar focused on The Currency of Music, discussed the latest trends and looked ahead to challenges and opportunities in the music business and applicable law.
Nathanson spoke on the panel, “Beyond the Music, Who Am I? Conceptualizing the Artists as a Brand to Expand Revenue Streams,” which discussed the ongoing challenge for artists to secure some revenue from their craft and the exploration of new channels of revenue streams. Rodner moderated the panel, “What's Your Ethics Quotient?” which discussed conflicts and fee arrangements and offered guidance in best practices.
