The event, co-sponsored by the NYSBA Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law Section, will feature Anne Atkinson as a speaker, and will focus on the complexities of obtaining underlying rights to books, comic books, plays, and newspaper articles for scripted motion picture and television productions, including projects based on real people and events. It will also address issues regarding work-for-hire vs. acquisition for projects based on original scripts, and errors and omissions insurance concerns.

In addition to being a member of the Corporate Counsel Section of the New York State Bar Association, Anne S. Atkinson is on the executive committee of the Entertainment Arts & Sports Law Section, and co-chair of the Entertainment Arts & Sports Law Section Diversity Committee.
