Partner James Klaiber, member of the Intellectual Property Group, will speak at the “How the AIA and Recent Supreme Court Decisions Will Affect Your Licensing Strategies” event, hosted by the New York City Bar on October 16.

The panel will discuss how recent Supreme Court decisions, and the Patent Office's guidelines intended to incorporate those decisions, have begun to influence licensing strategy. The speakers will explore a variety of topics including FRAND obligations and standard-essential patents, abusive patent litigation practices, indefiniteness, and “pay for delay,” as well as the effect of AIA and inter partes review procedures.
