Partner James Klaiber, a member of Pryor Cashman’s Intellectual Property Group, moderated the New York City Bar Association’s event Patents Committee Roundtable: Patent Act Section 101 and the Federal Courts – Is More the Reason for the Morass? Patent Eligible Subject Matter in the Wake of Bilski and Mayo, sponsored by the Committee on Patents. The event was held Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 42 West 44th Street in New York City.

At the roundtable patent law experts debated the meaning of the Supreme Court's and the Federal Circuit's recent decisions regarding patentable subject matter and its application to various technologies, including extracted human genomes and computerized business method processes.
