Tom J. Ferber, a litigation partner, and Of Counsel F. Robert Stein, who are both members of the firm’s Intellectual Property and Entertainment, Media and Communications Groups, spoke on a panel at the Producers Guild of America’s "Fair Use Workshop" on July 24, 2014.
Ferber discussed fair use in motion pictures, with an emphasis on documentaries and docudramas. Stein spoke about how he determines whether inclusion of copyrighted materials in documentary films qualifies as fair use when reviewing documentaries for risk evaluation prior to release.
