Jessica Rosen is a member of Pryor Cashman’s Litigation Group. Her practice focuses on intellectual property, entertainment and complex commercial litigation.
Jess routinely litigates complex civil litigations in both federal and state courts. She also has experience before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB). Some of Jess’s representative matters include:
- Securing dismissal of copyright infringement claim involving popular hip hop songs against major record label and its affiliated record labels.
- Obtaining summary judgment against an energy drink company and its CEO for directly and vicariously infringing major record label and its affiliated record labels’ sound recordings in social media marketing campaign.
- Representing major streaming network in defense of separate defamation and related First Amendment claims concerning documentary and television show.
- Representing an educational institute in federal and state litigation concerning defamation and copyright infringement.
- Representing a major automobile manufacturer in trademark proceeding before the TTAB.
- Representing record labels, music publishers and artists in defense of various copyright infringement and related claims.
- Representing several luxury brands and a wholesale clothing distributor in commercial disputes in state court.
Her previous civil litigation and investigations experience included counseling clients in the financial services industry. She has demonstrated skill in handling issues related to breach of contract, fraud, fiduciary duty, matters of confidentiality and compliance.
Jess received her J.D. with honors from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. While in law school, she served as Executive Editor of the Cardozo Arts and Entertainment Law Journal. She was also a legal intern in Cardozo’s Indie Film Clinic. Jess is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, where she was a captain of the women’s basketball team.
