Bloomberg Law Sits Down With Scibilia and Semel to Discuss the Music Industry, Streaming, and Musician’s Rights

Bloomberg Law profiled the creators of the Mechanical Licensing Collective (MLC) deal, Partners Frank P. Scibilia and Benjamin Semel. The pair represent major and independent record labels, major and independent music publishers, and high-profile songwriters and performing artists. The MLC was created to protect songwriters and publishers in the age of Spotify, Amazon Music, and other music streaming services by creating a mechanism that will ensure fair compensation for their music.
