Pryor Cashman Elects Three New Partners
Pryor Cashman is pleased to announce the election of three attorneys to the firm’s partnership effective January 1, 2015. The three new partners are Eric M. Fishman, Benjamin Semel and Mona Simonian. All are members of the Litigation group and have been promoted from within the ranks of the firm’s New York Office.
Eric M. Fishman focuses his practice on a full range of complex business litigation, including securities, intellectual property, real estate and bankruptcy litigation. Fishman received his J.D. with honors from the George Washington University Law School in 2005, where he served as a member of the George Washington International Law Review and the Moot Court Board. He graduated in 2002 with a B.A. cum laude in Political Science from Bucknell University, where he was also captain of the baseball team.
Benjamin Semel is a litigator who handles cases in federal and state trial and appeals courts, as well as arbitrations and mediations before numerous agencies. He has broad experience in intellectual property matters, including trademark and trade secret protection, copyrights in film, television, music, software, literature and architectural works, idea theft, and rights of publicity and privacy. Semel also has an active practice in technology law, managing issues for software, Internet, new media and emerging technology companies. He received his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law as a Kent Scholar, the highest academic honor awarded, and received the Class of 1912 Prize, given to the single top student in the field of contracts. He earned his B.A. from Brown University.
Mona Simonian has broad experience in intellectual property litigation, including disputes arising from copyright, trademark and trade dress ownership and infringement, misappropriation of trade secrets and unfair competition. Mona’s practice also focuses on art law litigation, including art title disputes, as well as a full range of complex commercial litigations. She represents both U.S. and foreign-based clients involved in numerous industries, including music and entertainment, digital media, textiles, fashion and apparel, financial services and consumer goods. She earned her J.D. from New York University School of Law and her B.A. from the University of Maryland, College Park.
