Pryor Cashman’s award-winning Media + Entertainment Group will represent Korean production and distribution company CJ Entertainment in connection with 10 forthcoming films to be developed for Hollywood. Two of the projects, North American versions of the romantic comedy, Miss Granny, and the thriller, Hide and Seek, are set to begin production later this year.

Per Variety, 3Pas Studio is currently casting for the Spanish-language remake of Miss Granny; Tyler Perry Studios will produce an English-language remake of the same property.

Other projects include The Vanished, an omnibus drama based on a French novel co-written by Lena Mauger and Stephane Remael; the romantic drama Aurora; a remake of the Korea-Vietnam co-produced horror film The Housemaid; and Super Fan, a sports drama about Lee Sung-woo, a dedicated Korean follower of the Kansas City Royals baseball team. Super Fan will be co-produced by Ivanhoe Pictures, Sidney Kimmel Entertainment and CJ.

CJ is also developing the Sohn Kee-chung Project, a biopic following a legendary marathon runner. U.S. versions of the dramedies Sunny and Hello Ghost have finished scripting and are now attaching key cast and crew.

Media + Entertainment Partner Adam Mehr advised CJ on the development and financing for the slate of film projects.
