Pryor Cashman Sponsors EtherCamp’s Second Annual Hackathon
As part of our commitment to serve as a resource for the latest FinTech news and developments, Pryor Cashman will sponsor EtherCamp’s second annual online hackathon commencing on November 17, 2016.
EtherCamp – an Ethereum blockchain explorer and contacts analysis tool provider – has also announced plans to crowdsale its newest token, “Hacker Gold” (“HKG”), beginning on October 20, 2016 and running through the five week hackathon.
The hackathon will operate on a virtual accelerator, where teams of participants – known as “camps” – compete to develop the next revolutionary cryptocurrency app by sharing their ideas with mentors and potential investors, who in turn can support their chosen camp by purchasing its unique tokens. The winning camp will receive $50,000 in the digital currency of its choice.
A panel of 30 prominent judges from the blockchain and digital currency spaces will assess each camp’s idea, awarding points for projects demonstrating innovation and disruption. This year’s judges include Alex Shelkovnikov, UK blockchain lead at Deloitte, and Skype co-founder Jaan Tallinn, among others.
In a press release announcing the hackathon, Roman Mandeleil, Lead Developer at EtherCamp, said of Pryor Cashman, “[it’s] a very serious law firm,” equipped to help “deal with a number of legal matters.”
