The New York State Bar Association has published the fourth edition of the nationally distributed treatise, Entertainment Law, of which Pryor Cashman Partner Howard Siegel is Editor-in-Chief. Howard was the Editor of the first, second and third editions as well.

Since its initial publication in 1989, Entertainment Law has consistently been one of the bestselling books distributed by the State Bar, considered by many to be “the definitive work on the subject.” The book covers the principal areas of entertainment law, including the Recorded Music Industry; Music Publishing; Television; Film; Commercial Theater; Book Publishing; Minors' Contracts; Personal Management; and Exhibitions.

Pryor Cashman had a considerable influence on the development of this latest edition as four of the contributing authors are members of the firm. Howard Siegel authored the chapter "Personal Management." Karen Robson contributed the chapter, “The Motion Picture Industry: Legal Concepts and Deal Structures,” and Frank Scibilia, co-chair of the firm’s Digital Media practice, co-authored “The Recorded Music Industry.” “Book Publishing: Traditional “Trade Book” Author/Publisher Agreements” was written by Robert Stein.
