Association of Commercial Finance Attorneys' 2015 Annual CLE Weekend
Richard Levy, Jr., co-chair of Pryor Cashman's Bankruptcy, Reorganization & Creditors' Rights Group, will be a panelist at the Association of Commercial Finance Attorneys' 2015 Annual CLE Weekend at the Gaylord National Convention Center and Resort in National Harbor, Maryland, May 19-21, 2015.
The panel on which Levy will participate, The Annual Bankruptcy Update, will include retired U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Joel Rosenthal of Massachusetts, Florida bankruptcy practitioner Mindy Mora of Bilzin, Sumberg, Baena, Price & Axelrod LLP, and New Jersey bankruptcy practitioner Stephen Falanga of Connell Foley LLP. The panel reports on hot topics in bankruptcy of particular interest to secured creditors.
In addition to the panel's discussion of recent bankruptcy developments, Levy's presentation will include make-whole premiums and cram-down interest rates in Chapter 11 cases; the safe harbor for securities-related transfers under Section 546(e) of the Bankruptcy Code; issues in the administration of bankruptcy cases arising from a debtor’s involvement in criminal conduct; recent developments in the treatment of trademarks in bankruptcy; and recent developments in the treatment of consignments in bankruptcy.
AFCA members are primarily private-practice attorneys and in-house counsel whose work involves matters of factoring, asset-based lending, bankruptcy and creditors' rights.
