Association of Commercial Finance Attorneys' 2017 Annual CLE Weekend
Richard Levy, Jr., co-chair of Pryor Cashman's Bankruptcy, Reorganization & Creditors' Rights Group, will be a panelist at the Association of Commercial Finance Attorneys' (ACFA) 2017 Annual CLE Weekend at the Jefferson Hotel in Richmond, Virginia, June 2-4, 2017.
Levy's panel, "The Annual Bankruptcy Update," reports on hot topics in bankruptcy that are of particular interest to secured creditors. Levy's co-panelists will include retired U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Joel Rosenthal of Massachusetts, Florida bankruptcy practitioner Mindy Mora of Bilzin, Sumberg, Baena, Price & Axelrod LLP, New Jersey bankruptcy practitioner Stephen Falanga of Walsh Pizzi O'Reilly Falanga LLP, and Colorado bankruptcy practitioner Kevin Neiman.
In addition to discussing recent bankruptcy developments, Levy's presentation will address the safe harbor for securities-related transfers under Section 546(e) of the Bankruptcy Code; the treatment of Medicare provider reimbursements in bankruptcy; out-of-court debt restructurings and the federal Trust Indenture Act and; treatment of consignments of goods in bankruptcy; and treatment of intellectual property in bankruptcy.
