Guest Lecture for NYU’s Visual Arts Administration Program: Authentication Issues and Appraiser Liability

Pryor Cashman Partner Megan Noh, who co-chairs the firm’s Art Law Group, was a guest lecturer at the NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development’s Visual Arts Administration M.A. program.
Megan spoke to a class taught by Art and Art Professions faculty member and Heritage Auctions SVP Aviva Lehmann. Her lecture focused on authentication issues (including the significance of catalogue raisonnés, auction catalogue attribution, and the statutory and contractual frameworks for rescission claims) and appraiser liability.
