Goodman Quoted on Recent Investment By Mid Atlantic Bio Angels’s Closed-End Pool

Stephen M. Goodman, Co-Chair of  Pryor Cashman’s Life Sciences Group and co-founder of Mid Atlantic Bio Angels (MABA), was quoted in a recent press announcement regarding the latest investment made by MABA's newly-formed closed-end investing pool.

For its second investment – made less than four months after its first – the pool was joined by several individual members of MABA in backing Genome Profiling, LLC (“GenPro”), a Delaware-based molecular information company specializing in the discovery of novel epigenetic biomarkers.

GenPro provides quantitative analysis of DNA profiles for personalized health diagnostics, disease prediction and therapeutic monitoring via a proprietary software platform that transforms routine DNA genome sequence data into deep insights which in turn enable the company to identify new and important biomarkers for specific disease states.

Expounding the opportunities for emerging companies and investors made possible by the pool, Goodman said, “Not only are we thrilled to be making our second pool investment so close on the heels of our first, but, in the process, the GenPro investment broke an internal MABA record. The time it took from presentation, through due diligence to funding was less than a month.”
