Government Cracks Down on Employers for Paperwork Violations

The Immigration Reform and Control Act requires all U.S. employers to verify the identity and work authorization of every employee they hire in the U.S., by completing an I-9 form. The Obama Administration is stepping up audits of, and heftily penalizing, employers who do not complete their I-9 forms correctly.
