Greenberg to Moderate Program on Financing Media and Entertainment Projects
Pryor Cashman Counsel Joshua Greenberg, a member of the firm’s Media + Entertainment Group and the Digital Media, M+E Transactions + Financing, Film, TV + Podcast, and Trademark Practices, co-chaired and will moderate “Lights, Camera, Capital: Financing Media and Entertainment Projects,” a continuing legal education program on media and entertainment finance hosted by the Entertainment Law Committee of the New York City Bar Association.
The discussion will explore the evolving landscape of entertainment financing across a broad range of media properties, including independent film, television, theater, live entertainment, gaming, and emerging forms of digital media, and the legal and business structures commonly used to develop, finance, produce, and monetize entertainment projects. The program will offer practical guidance on structuring transactions, allocating risk, negotiating financing documents, and advising clients in a rapidly changing media landscape, especially as the boundaries between traditional and emerging media continue to blur and transmedia adaptions become more and more prevalent, overall offering a current, cross-disciplinary understanding of the legal and commercial issues shaping entertainment finance today.
Featured speakers will include entertainment lawyers Hayden Goldblatt of Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz PC, Carrie Casselman of Davis Wright Tremaine LLP, and David Manella of Loeb & Loeb LLP, and Daniel Pancotto, Executive Director in the Media & Communications, Entertainment Industries Group at J.P. Morgan. Aviva Wishnow of Wishnow Legal will co-moderate the panel with Josh.
The program has been approved for CLE credit in New York (1.5 professional practice credits), New Jersey (1.8 general credits), California (1.5 general credits), Pennsylvania (1.5 general credits), and Connecticut.
