USCIS Temporarily Suspends Premium Processing of H-1B Extensions
The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is suspending premium processing for all H-1B Extension of Stay petitions between May 26, 2015 and July 27, 2015. The sudden announcement stated that USCIS will suspend premium processing for these applications to allow for the timely adjudication of the high volume of H-4 employment authorization applications which will be accepted beginning May 26th.
USCIS has indicated that it will continue to make premium processing available for “all other H-1B petitions,” however, it is unclear whether premium processing will continue for H-1B change of employer, amendment and certain consular notification petitions.
