NYDFS Part 500: Is Your Cybersecurity Program Ready for Certification?

On February 28, 2017, Partner Jeffrey Alberts, head of the firm's White Collar Defense + Investigations practice, will be a featured presenter on a video webinar entitled "NYDFS Part 500: Is Your Cybersecurity Program Ready for Certification?" Alberts will be joined by co-presenter Joseph Nocera, a principal at PwC and leader of the firm’s Financial Services Cybersecurity practice.
The webinar will take place from 12:00 - 1:00PM (EST) and will explore:
- Key provisions of the final rule and significant changes from the original proposal,
- Steps for developing a risk-based cybersecurity program,
- Performing a data classification and mapping program to determine where non-public information exists and what controls are needed to protect it,
- Gaining an understanding of your current access controls and steps for achieving the required access limitations and monitoring, and
- Leading practices in the creation of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems to monitor and alert on potential cybersecurity incidents in order to meet the proposed regulation’s stringent 72-hour notification requirement.
