Pryor Cashman partner Joshua Weigensberg, a member of the Litigation and Media + Entertainment Groups, was a speaker at the New York County Lawyers Association’s 16th Art Law Institute program. The event covered a wide range of topics, including those at the intersection of art, technology, and copyright law.
Josh participated in a mock arbitration panel addressing questions of ownership over a fictional piece of AI-generated fine art. He served as the legal expert, providing the panel and audience with insights into the current state of the law regarding the copyrightability of AI-generated works, as established by the courts and the U.S. Copyright Office.
